On the 12th of June, Bill Hodgson flipped a car for a straight 24 hours to raise £10,000 for some incredible local causes and charities in the North West.
This challenge pushed Bill to the absolute limits of what is possible. We hope that everyone can join us in supporting him to raise some much-needed funds for some very worthy causes:
Lancashire Mind: They are an independent charity, based in Chorley and working for the people of Lancashire. Their committed and energetic team of staff, trustees and volunteers are passionate about making a difference to the mental health of people living and working in Lancashire.
UR Potential :URPotential is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company set up in 2010 working with young people and adults across the Fylde coast. Our Vision – Inspiring and supporting you and your community to reach your potential.
Donna’s Dream House : The Donna’s Dream House Charity in Blackpool is a locally based trust, providing free holiday experiences for children and teenagers with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
Malachy Spriggs – Malachy is 8 years old and suffers from several life-limiting conditions, Fox G1 syndrome, Cortical Blindness, Severe Epilepsy and is Peg fed. He has severe developmental delay, which makes him unable to walk, talk and sit unaided. Despite all his difficulties, he is an extremely happy little boy, who loves playing with his siblings, listening to music and swimming in his Lazy Spa! At present, he is very limited to what he can do outside. He is unable to explore the countryside around us, visit the beach, and enjoy outdoor time with his family. We hope to be able to raise enough money to buy Malachy an off-road buggy so he can enjoy the simple pleasures that we all take for granted.
ACE – Ace supports young people to improve their emotional/ mental health. Our emotional health practitioners mainly work with young people individually. We also run some groups and work with the family if it will support the progress of the young person. We do not have a set programme of work but will listen to the young person, assess their needs, identify goals and support them to improve their emotional health and build resilience.
New Start – At New Start, they contribute to the health and well being of communities throughout Lancashire by providing the tools and strategies to foster resilience.
